The Trend of Polo Shirts, Women’s Over Sized Clothing Trend
Women polo shirt is hugely popular in the United States, easy to wear, a snap to wash and care for, and relatively inexpensive. Polo shirts can be either short or long-sleeved. Women’s polo shirts usually have button plackets and typically feature knit collars. Common materials include woven and knit fabrics.
Fashion is constantly evolving, and as a result men and women alike have a wide range of styling options for various occasions or environments. The business-casual look is all the rage these days, both in the office and elsewhere, and the key to achieving this look is to be comfortable while still maintaining a professional appearance. Women’s polo shirt realizes women’s needs, generally acceptable, comfortable while maintaining professional.
Staying comfortable through the summer months isn’t always such an easy task unless you wear loose fitting T-shirts and polo shirts. Strangely, some UK women are wearing women’s T shirts and polo shirts for another reason—size. The new figures from market researcher Mintel show that 6.2 million million UK women are wearing a size 18 or larger which is 25 percent of female population.
The women wearing large sizes often express dissatisfaction with the large-sized fashions. Their complaints run gamut. Some women claim the fashions are too plain. Others resent the lack of styling in many plus sizes. Still other claim the clothes are simply not stylish.
One of the many advantages of wearing women’s T shirts and women polo shirts is that they are always in style. But you can’t wear T shirts everywhere, so the larger sized UK women are making it known they are sizable niche market and want designers to pay more attention. This means adding some fashionable styling to the designs in the bigger sizes.
It’s not just UK women that are wearing plus sizes. Approximately a third of the UK men are wearing the clothes that are sized extra larger or lager. With the fashion industry beginning to pay attention to this niche market, more stylish plus sized clothing could hit the market.
